Public Education Section

The Missouri Valley Division formed a section for Public Educators in the Missouri Valley to share knowledge, ideas and programs with other departments and to hold annual conferences and meetings as needed. Any person dealing with Fire Public education can be a member.

The website for the Eighth Annual Missouri Valley Fire, Burn and Life Safety Education Conference is up and running. Please check it out at www.mvpubed.com. The entire brochure and list of corporate sponsors are scheduled to be added soon. Updates will be added as needed.

We Need You to be Part of Our Section

My name is Elena Nuss and I am the Chief of the Youth Programs Division for the Kansas State Fire Marshal's Office.  As Chair of the Public Education Section I am excited to welcome you to our website and invite you to join our section. We are always looking for educators to join our section whose purpose is networking, sharing training opportunities and to assist educators as they work with the public in our region. Another thing the section sponsors is a Public Education Conference each year and we hold meetings as needed. To be a member of our section you do not have to be a Fire Chief or full-time public educator. Anyone who is involved with the public education duties for their department or organization is welcome to join. We need you to be part of our section! Please fill out the registration form and mail, fax or email it to me. I look forward to working with you in the future as we make this section a strong resource for educators in our region. I would also encourage you to scroll through the current information regarding the conference, training and other opportunities that are coming up.
