Latest Version of NFPA 1710 Available on NFPA Web site

(Fairfax, VA) -- The latest draft of NFPA 1710 (Standard for the Organization and Deployment of Fire Suppression Operations, Emergency Medical Operations, and Special Operations to the Public by Career Fire Departments) is now available on the NFPA Web site.

Go to the NFPA Web site at www.nfpa.org.

Once there, click on the link for Codes and Standards.

Go to the second paragraph and click on the link that says "drafts of proposed new documents."

Toward the bottom of the page, click on the link that says "our Document Selection Page"

Once there, in the first field titled "Document Number" type in 1710 and click on the "Get Document" button.

You will see a screen offering TWO versions of the proposed standard. The first one is the ROP document (first draft), the second is the ROC (latest draft). Click on the link that states the following:

"Click below to download the pdf file(s) of these comments (ROC) Entire Document - 894098 bytes"

Once downloaded, the draft of the standard begins on page 159 of the Acrobat file (although the page number on the document itself reads 384).
